Free online tools that never upload your files
Every tool on OrchidLines runs inside your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, so there is nothing to queue for, no file size cap, and no daily limit. No account, ever.

Why do these tools work without uploading anything?
Most “online” file tools work by sending your file to a company’s server, processing it there, and sending the result back. That is why they queue, why they cap file sizes, why they limit how many conversions you get per day, and why you have to trust them with your documents and photos.
OrchidLines does the work in the browser instead. Modern browsers can decode images, run audio and video codecs, do cryptography and crunch spreadsheets natively — the same engines that play your video and render your photos. When you drop a file onto a OrchidLines tool, the page reads it from your own disk, processes it in memory, and hands the result straight back to you. It never touches the network.
That has three consequences we think are worth the engineering. Your files stay private, because they physically never leave the device. There are no limits, because we aren’t paying for your bandwidth or CPU. And it is usually faster, because a local file doesn’t have to be uploaded and downloaded again.
How is it free?
Ads on the page, and that is all. There is no premium tier, no watermark to remove, no account to create and no data to sell — we never receive your files in the first place, so there is nothing to sell even if we wanted to.
Can I check that for myself?
Yes, and we would encourage it. Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool on the site. You will see the page load, you will see the ad requests, and you will not see your file go anywhere. You can also disconnect from the internet after the page loads — the tools keep working.
