Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 July 2026

1. Acceptance

By using OrchidLines you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. No account is created and nothing is signed, so your use of the site is the whole of the agreement between us.

These terms are written to be read. Where a clause below could be expressed either as plain English or as legal boilerplate, it is written as plain English, and that is deliberate rather than careless.

2. The service

OrchidLines provides free utilities that run inside your web browser. No account is required and no payment is taken. Because the tools execute on your own device, the quality and speed of any result depends on your browser, your operating system and your hardware.

This has a consequence worth stating plainly: what you get is a web page and the code inside it, not a processing service. Nothing you open is sent to us, nothing is queued on a server of ours, and there is no capacity for us to run out of. It also means that a tool which works perfectly on a desktop browser may run out of memory on a phone, and that a browser several years out of date may not support the features a given tool needs.

Some tools download a one-time engine or model file on first use — a video encoder, a language model, an optical character recogniser. That download comes from this site or a named third-party host and is cached by your browser afterwards. It is the tool arriving, not your work departing.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the files you process. We claim no licence over them — we could not, since we never receive them. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any file you use with these tools.

Anything a tool produces is yours to use as you wish, including commercially. There is no watermark, no attribution requirement and no export limit. Where a tool is built on a third-party model or library whose licence imposes conditions of its own, that is stated on the tool’s own page.

Some tools remember settings, drafts or saved projects. That data is held in your browser’s own storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data deletes it, and we cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use OrchidLines to:

  • break any applicable law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • process material you do not have permission to process;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting;
  • republish the site’s code or content as your own service.

5. No warranty

OrchidLines is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any output will be fit for a particular purpose.

Keep your originals. These tools produce new files; they are not a backup service and nothing you do here is recoverable by us. Always work from a copy of anything irreplaceable.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Advertising and third parties

The site displays third-party advertising. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of advertisements or of any site they link to. See our privacy policy for how advertising data is handled.

8. Availability and changes

We may add, change, or remove tools at any time, and may suspend the site for maintenance. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Intellectual property in the site itself

The design, text, tool code and artwork of OrchidLines belong to us or to our licensors. You may use the tools freely and link to any page. You may not copy the site’s code or written content in order to republish it as your own service.

If you believe material published here infringes a right you hold, write to us with the address of the page, identification of the work, and a way to reach you. See the contact page for what to include. Material that should not be here is removed.

10. Not professional advice

Several tools perform financial, health, statistical or engineering calculations. They are working tools, not advice. A mortgage calculator does not know your circumstances, a nutrition estimate is not a dietary plan, and a structural or electrical figure is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Check anything that matters against a source suited to your situation before relying on it.

11. Age

The site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. No account is created and no personal details are requested, so nothing is knowingly collected from children. See the privacy policy for what is collected.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer in another country, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the place where you live.

13. If part of these terms fails

If any clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.

14. Contact
